INTERVIEW: Tony Johnson

KOTC: LEGACY MARCH 26TH, 2010

Tony Johnson is about to partake in five rounds of Heavyweight action against long time belt holder Tony Lopez. Tony Lopez holds both the Heavyweight and light-heavyweight belts with King of The Cage and Johnson wants to lighten Lopez's load. This is certain to be the fight of Johnson's career. Lets see what makes Tony Johnson tick as he answers a few of MMA-KO's offbeat questions.

MMA-KO: First off MMA-KO would like to thank you Tony Johnson for taking the
time to talk with us today.

TJ: My pleasure

MMA-KO: How is your training going?

TJ: Training is going great!! I work with American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, so every day I am working with some of the highest caliber training partners in the world.

MMA-KO: What should the people know about Tony Johnson?

TJ: I feel as if I have been flying under the radar for the last two years and haven't had the fight opportunities I would have liked. I have had a handful of fights fall out on me over the last year so I am looking forward to introducing the fans nationwide to Tony Johnson.

MMA-KO: What should Tony Lopez know about Tony Johnson?

TJ: First, I would like to thank Tony Lopez for giving me this opportunity. He has had a long reign as KOTC champion, he hasn't lost in his last twelve or so fights, so he is not to be under estimated. However he better know that I am coming to fight for twenty five minutes and I expect to leave with that belt!!

MMA-KO: What are your thoughts on your last fight?

TJ: I took my last fight on short notice and it was a great learning experience. I feel I get better with each fight, so I used it as another building block

MMA-KO: What are your thoughts on this fight?

TJ: I am excited for this fight to happen!! It is my first title opportunity and I have been training everyday for the last two years for this moment and I plan to take full advantage of the situation.

MMA-KO: This is a five round title fight, why will you win this fight and
claim the title?

TJ: I might not have the same experience as Tony Lopez, but I am younger, faster, and stronger!! My hands are better and my wrestling is top notch. This fight will not go the distance.

MMA-KO: In closing, is there anything you would like to say to the world?

TJ: Get ready for a new KOTC Heavyweight Champion!!!!

MMA-KO: How will your new found fans keep up with you?

TJ: My new website will be up shortly, but until then they can hit me up on facebook and twitter!!!

MMA-KO: On behalf of MMA-KO, I would like to thank you for doing this interview.
