MMA-KO TALKS WITH PHIL " THE PAIN" COLLINS
MMA-KO GETS A INTERVIEW WITH PTP FOR HIS
FIGHT APRIL 7TH
MMA-KO: Your next fight will be against Steve
Heath at the Warrior Cup April 7th, how do you see this
fight going?
PTP: This fight with Steve is going 2 be tough he's fought
some top guys. He's 8-4 anyone with a record like that has 2
be good. I'm taking him very serious!
MMA-KO: What are you're thoughts on Steve
Heath and what do you know about him?
PTP: My thoughts about Steve are the same with everyone I'm
getting ready 2 fight just someone in my way!!!
MMA-KO: Has there been any trash talking
leading up to this fight?
PTP: I haven't heard any shit talking from him or his team,
but i guess they said I've been running my mouth. There
probably making it up 2 get him pumped up...lol
MMA-KO: When training for this up and coming fight, how many
days and hours do you train?
PTP: I train 5-6 days a wk about 3-4hrs
MMA-KO: Do you study fight tapes before
facing an opponent ?
PTP: I don't like to watch film, I check Sherdog to see how
they win and how long there matches last. that's about it.
MMA-KO: Who puts your game plan together ?
PTP: Tom the owner of oak dales mma and Ralph my boxing
coach
MMA-KO: Do you have a Manager? Who is your
Training Coaches?
PTP: Nope don't have a manager. Maybe after this fight they
call
MMA-KO: What are your goals for your
remaining MMA career?
PTP: My goals are really simple gold, money, respect!!!!
MMA-KO: Wants to know how the The Pain
nickname came into place?
PTP: After my 2nd win my partner Jared Saenz told me that I
made Nick Covert feel the pain. Then he just started calling
me Phil the Pain and it stuck!! And everyone i have fought
since has felt the pain except you know who!!!!
MMA-KO: What was your Greatest moment ever in
a fight ?
PTP: This is weird but my greatest moment was getting a
chance 2 fight for a title at Caged Combat. How many fighter
get this chance? Yeah I lost but sometimes you have to get
your ass whooped to find out about yourself! Don't trip that
wont be the last belt I fight for, before I quit!!!
MMA-KO: Tell us a little bit about the LAST
MAN STANDING Submission Tournament April 28 I in Merced?
PTP: Last Man Standing is a grappling tournament being held
in Merced. Three divisions and $500 to each winner of each
division. I'm not participating in the tournament I'm doing
a charity grappling match against Roy The Hit boy out of
Sacramento at the end of the day it should be a easy win for
me!!!!!
MMA-KO: What will be the entrance music that you come out
with ?
PTP: Music its up to the Warrior Cup Org. If they let me
pick music most likely it will be 2pac.
MMA-KO: Out of all your fights, who was the
toughest to beat?
PTP: Elijah Remi would probably be the toughest because he
lasted the longest out of my 4 wins.. lol He wants a rematch
I don't know why, but I have no problem beating him
again!!!! Maybe because he trains with NCFA means he can
win, I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!!!
MMA-KO: What do you want to say to all the
people that support PTP?
PTP: To everyone who support PTP, I would like 2 say thank
you and i promise April 7th will be are day!!!!

thank ?
PTP: Special thanks Oakdale MMA, Patrick Budoh owner of
